Lodric can be seen appearing in MGM’s highly anticipated biopic “Respect” opposite Jennifer Hudson, and I would love for you to consider an interview/feature with him. “Respect” follows the life and career of the legendary Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin (Hudson), and Lodric shines as the iconic singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson. Additional cast include: Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans and Mary J. Blige. “Respect” is set to debut nationwide on August 13, 2021.
In television, Lodric currently stars as Chief of Staff Donald Winthrop on BET’s “The Oval.” Created by Tyler Perry, the series follows a seemingly perfect interracial family that become the White House’s newest residents. New episodes of “The Oval” are slated to be released in July 2021. Lodric is also well known for appearing as Captain Elliot, the head of militia sent to end the apocalypse on SYFY’s “Z Nation” and as Lieutenant Marshall in NBC’s “Grimm.”
As a former U.S. Marine and extreme sports enthusiast, Lodric was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He discovered his love for acting at his local community theatre, and eventually made the life-changing decision to defer law school to pursue acting full time in New York. It was in the city that he got to hone his craft studying and working in Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. On the theatre front, Lodric is most notably known for his classical work in roles such as General Hannibal Barca (Massanissa) and Berowne (Loves Labors Lost), for which he received rave reviews. When he is not on set Lodric is advocating for equality, across the board. He is currently using his platform to bring awareness to Maternal Mortality rates amongst minority women and to support our U.S. Veterans.
