Happy Endings Funeral Parlor also stars lead actor Trevor Larcom best known for True Detective (2014), Fresh Off the Boat (2015) and Thunder Force (2021). The short film follows the comedic misadventures of two brothers managing a struggling funeral parlor under their Uncle Nicky. The film delves into the connection between the grief of losing a loved one and the laughter we need to move forward.

“When I wrote the screenplay for Happy Endings Funeral Parlor it was shortly after losing a childhood friend in my neighborhood. He died unexpectedly in his sleep and it was a tragedy for his family and friends. After his funeral service, for which I was a pallbearer at, I couldn’t seem to process everything. Those around me seemed unable to cope as well. I was confronting death at a young age for the first time. This experience inspired me to write this story to help people who have recently lost someone heal with humor. During tough times we all need a laugh. Death is a difficult and profound thing we all must face in life. They say laughter is the best medicine and we agree. Comedy can be a catharsis for those carrying the emotional pain of losing a loved one. Our film explores the human condition while providing much needed laughs after facing some of the most challenging moments in life."  - Kyle Ricchetti  (Role: Marcell Remo)
